The challenge

Bidsheet needed a purpose-built B2B auction platform for trading bulk refurbished hardware — a niche market where existing auction tools fell short. The platform had to support four distinct user roles with different permissions: sellers listing refurbished hardware with detailed specs and real-time auction analytics, buyers placing bids with auto-bid capabilities, guests browsing with limited access, and administrators managing disputes, user accounts, and platform operations. Security was paramount — payment channels needed end-to-end encryption, and the proxy bidding system had to be algorithmically fair to prevent manipulation.

Our solution

We began with a thorough business analysis phase, engaging stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and documenting all user flows in comprehensive use cases. We then built a full-featured auction platform with WebSocket-based real-time bid tracking, a proxy bidding algorithm that automatically places bids on behalf of users up to their set maximum, and fortified payment channels with data encryption. The admin panel includes dispute resolution workflows, user account management, and platform-wide analytics. Sellers get dedicated dashboards with real-time auction performance metrics, while buyers benefit from smart notifications and auto-bid management.
