Gen AI sales training platform for rep onboarding

The challenge

A US-based startup was developing an AI-powered sales training platform to solve a pervasive industry problem: onboarding new sales representatives is slow, expensive, and dependent on senior manager availability. Each new hire required weeks of one-on-one guidance from experienced salespeople — time and resources that didn't scale. Training quality varied depending on who did the coaching. The client needed a platform that could automatically generate structured training content from existing company documentation, personalize learning paths based on each rep's background and experience level, and provide real-time AI-powered assistance during the learning process.

Our solution

We built an AI training platform with generative AI at its core. The system ingests training documentation in any format — PDF, PPTX, spreadsheets, VTT captions, and even audio files — converting them into structured content using custom Python parsers. A RAG-based knowledge base is automatically constructed using state-of-the-art embedding models and positional encoding, from which LLMs (Mistral, ChatGPT) generate structured lessons. The platform parses each new hire's resume to assess their competency level and creates personalized training plans with appropriate difficulty. Real-time AI interactions guide reps through challenging material, check answers, and provide contextual explanations. The system tests knowledge through auto-generated quizzes calibrated to the rep's progress.
