The challenge

VisitHealth, a UK-based healthcare startup, set out to bring medical services directly to patients' homes through a real-time booking platform. The core challenge was building a system that could intelligently match patients with available doctors based on time preferences, location proximity, and budget constraints — all while maintaining strict data protection standards for sensitive medical records and providing a secure, frictionless payment experience.

Our solution

We built a full-stack web platform using Node.js, React, and MongoDB where patients schedule home visits by specifying their preferred time window, location, and budget range. The matching algorithm pairs them with available doctors in real time, factoring in proximity and availability. Google Maps integration provides live doctor location tracking with ETA updates so patients know exactly when to expect their visit. Stripe handles secure payment processing with support for refunds and cancellations. AWS infrastructure with Active Directory integration ensures encrypted data storage and role-based access controls for all medical records.
