The challenge
Traditional B2B payment workflows are burdened by high transaction fees, slow settlement cycles, and complex multi-party reconciliation. Sawi Exchange wanted to fundamentally reimagine B2B payments by eliminating transactional overhead entirely — building a novel settlement system where obligations between parties are netted rather than processed individually. The platform needed to digitize the entire procurement-to-supply chain while providing comprehensive financial management tools for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice tracking.
Our solution
We built a platform using Node.js and React that introduces a transactionless settlement model to B2B commerce. Instead of processing each payment individually, the netting engine offsets payables and receivables across multiple parties — dramatically reducing the number of actual financial transfers needed. The system digitizes the complete procurement-to-supply workflow with automated invoice matching and reconciliation. A real-time financial dashboard provides AP/AR overviews with reporting capabilities, giving finance teams full visibility into their settlement positions across all trading partners.
