The challenge
Trust in charitable organizations was declining globally. Donors had no way to verify how their contributions were being used — money went into a black box. Recipients, particularly in remote regions of developing countries, faced significant barriers accessing donated funds through traditional banking channels. The fundamental problem was a lack of transparency and traceability in the donation pipeline, from the moment a donor sends money to the point where a recipient spends it on essential needs.
Our solution
We built TraceDonate in partnership with AID:Tech, leveraging their blockchain technology to create a groundbreaking fintech solution for charitable giving. Every donation is recorded on an immutable blockchain ledger, making each transaction traceable from the donor's wallet to the recipient's final spend. Donors get a real-time dashboard showing exactly where their money goes and what it was used for. Recipients — regardless of geographic location or access to banking infrastructure — can receive and manage digital funds securely through a mobile interface, spending them on verified categories like medication, clean water, or educational materials. The platform ensures that funds serve their intended purpose through category-locked spending controls.
